JDPC Maiduguri recognizes that true development cannot occur in the absence of peace. In communities destabilized by insurgency and communal tension, our peacebuilding program aims to restore social cohesion, promote dialogue, and support reconciliation efforts at the grassroots level.

Rooted in Catholic social teachings and inclusive principles, our peacebuilding interventions empower local actors to become agents of dialogue and nonviolence. Through capacity-building, interfaith engagement, and conflict mediation, we help communities rebuild trust and prevent future violence.

We actively engage women, youth, traditional leaders, and religious stakeholders to ensure a participatory approach. Our work also integrates peacebuilding into other program areas such as protection, governance, and psychosocial support—ensuring holistic recovery in post-conflict settings.
