Through her maiden Protection Unit, JDPC Maiduguri provideds mental health and psyschosocial support, GBV, Child Protection, and General Protection services. Thus far, it has reached over 900 vulnerable persons in camps and communities within Maiduguri, and planning to reach out to more in northern Adamawa state through new projects. The Protection unit provides services such as mental health counselling, psychosocial activities, referrals, community and individual sensitizations, celebartions of UN days, etc. All towards reducing stressful conditions among the vulnerable and contributing to creating a safe and secure environment for all.
